How FairLend collects, uses and protects your data — under the Data Protection Act 2019.
Your name, phone number, email, National ID number, county, employment type, and the ID and selfie images you upload. We also record your loan and payment activity.
To verify your identity, assess and process your loan, disburse and collect repayment via M-Pesa, prevent fraud, and meet our legal obligations. We do not sell your data.
Your documents are stored securely and are never publicly accessible — they are served only to you and our verification team over an authenticated, encrypted connection. Access is limited to staff who need it.
Under the Data Protection Act 2019 you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us.
We keep your data only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law, after which it is securely deleted.
